Moreover, I'm not a hugely superstitious person, but I do believe in not talking smack about competition, even one as dubious as the "Lone Star Showdown," until the team has won.

Bohls bragged about Texas just needing one point to win this year's showdown, which is true, but since his article came out, the UT softball team has gotten hammered 9-0 by A&M, the UT women's golf team is 7 strokes behind the Aggies in the conference championship, the #1 ranked UT men's golf team is 12 strokes behind the Aggies in their conference championship and the Horns' baseball team trails 2-0 at the moment. And for good measure, the UT men's tennis team lost their quarterfinal conference tourney match to A&M today.

Sheesh...

Very true. And if you told me that the Horns would have to trade losses in every other sport for the win in football, I'd take that.

That said, I hate seeing the Horns lose to the Aggies in anything. Hell, if Bill Byrne (or his soon-to-be-hired replacement) somehow ended up a car length ahead of DeLoss Dodds at a stoplight, that would hack me off. It just upsets the natural order of things.
