Tavon Austin is DJ Monroe's size. Now, I realize he can't catch a cold, but the excuses for not giving DJM more carries are just malarkey after watching this 5'9" 171 lb kid rip through OU's defense.
Monroe is not as shifty as Austin but you are right in that it is BS on how little touches he gets. College football is going toward getting your speed players in space yet Mack just wants to power run it up the gut with Joe B. The Sooners won this game because they never took their foot off the gas pedal like Texas did in their game with WVU.

How do you not know the slant is coming and move the LB into that passing lane, allowing the CB to have outside technique in case of the fade?
Well first off, you don't hire an OSU co DC for your defensive coordinator. Initially the fade was called but Landry made the audible to the slant. He played his ass off tonight.
As for Austin, good Lord. Jefferson is as sure of a tackler as it gets and Austin made him look silly all game. Guy is incredible!
austin is unreal in space. Baily might be the best WR in college this year. Guys has been nails all year. I've watched 4 or 5 WVU games this year and he's been unstoppable in each and makes remarkable catches. That's a heck of a 1-2 punch they have.
When watching Austin run all thru ou's defense tonight I couldn't help but think how many skill guys we have that could do the same. Probably not on Austin's level athletically, but close enough to be a lot more effective than we were in Oct in Dallas.
