TERRIBLE CROWDS

  • Sorry ladies. Next time I make an observation, I'll send out some pads so you girls don't make a mess.

I'm glad our team doesn't have your psyche. We would be WEAK

    CajunHorn

  • Serious question... Is anybody else watching these dumbass aggy commercials on ESPN?

No I don't watch SEC games.

Serious question...is everything o.k. You've been complaining a lot lately.

Not complaining. Just tired of your act.

CajunHorn, if you were any more thin skinned you'd be transparent. Man up little one.

You think we could have rattled Weeden and Blackmon?

Would the crowd have made tackles on the 2 long rushing TDs? Would the crowd have made our QB play well?

The crowd is a non-issue. It's something to talk about, but it doesn't affect winning and losing as much as fans want to think.

wow.... you don't have the slightest clue what you are talking about.... take a break and find some sense

?HUH. I can't even say one bad thing and everyone gets pissy, and I'm thin skinned.

So are you saying the crowd WOULD have rattled Weeden and Blackmon?
The crowd WOULD have made tackles?
The crowd WOULD have improved our QB play?

    Do tell....

Signatures are stupid. You should block them.

I think he's saying maybe a few false starts here and there are possible. Maybe it would have made it a little harder to convert those two 4th downs.

Maybe so. I've never said the crowd has ZERO impact. But the crowd has very little impact. Put LSU's crowd in our stadium today and we still lose by double digits.

Signatures are stupid. You should block them.

  • I think your full of it JKates. Look at Oklahoma at home. They are twice as good and a huge part of it is their crazy fanbase. LSU is pretty damn good at home. I can't believe you actually believe what you are stating.

I grew up an LSU fan, so nobody has to teach me about crazy loud crowds. I was at the Earthquake Game.

But LSU had crappy talent back then and wasn't winning 10 games a year.

    It's about talent folks.

But it's fun to bitch about the crowd, I suppose.

    Who cares? Non-issue.

Not true at al Jason... Many recruits gush about other atmosphere's at other venue,'s. Ours not so much...

    I respectfully disagree.

As much as I hate to admit it, A&M is about as loud as you'll find in the Big 12, and for sure louder than DKR... that didn't seem to bother OSU, despite being down by 17 at the half.

  • I just returned to Dallas from the game and the crowd was loud during critical times but we were never really in a frenzy. It was typical for a UT game. Have you ever been to a UT game? If not, don't criticize until you attend one.

We show up to watch a football game not yell and sway like a bunch of aggies.

Yelling for your team at a football game is for Aggies? Wow!!

You must sit in my boring ass dead section...

It's pretty simple...win games and the crowd follows. That's always how it works. Complaining about it won't change anything. If your going to complain about Texas then maybe you shouldn't follow the team. Jump on the SEC bandwagon, you'll have plenty of company.

Agree entirely. And may I add, winning is everything in college football. In addition to generating fan participation, ie: noise at the home stadium, recruitment success, merchandise sales, marketing brand name, and improve the BCS status.

    LALAhorn

  • Maybe admissions should recruit better students seems we're lacking in that department too. lol. Actually, that's 90% of the noise in the stadium. From what I remember 2:30 kickoffs in the heat are tough. You're usually between a hangover and an on coming buzz. I can't be as rowdy now as I was then (teaching the four year old sportsmanship) but it's hard to cheer for this team. They haven't been able to maintain momentum or achieve consistency. On offense it's driving, driving, red zone, and stall. On defense it can be no gain, negative, and conversion of 3rd and 16 twice on a scoring drive. It goes hand in hand I think. No excuses true we aren't that loud but hey we're trying to dissect every play so we have something to write on here. Hookem folks.

sorry champ, but the other poster is exactly right. "WEAK" are your posts recently. and we're really going to tampon smack? i mean, seriously.

  • Should we put the blame where it really belongs?
Obviously the cheerleaders aren't doing their jobs. (just kidding)
Actually the same criticism is levelled at the crowds in the Superdrum for basketball games.
I live in California and going to a TexasEx viewing party at a sportsbar is sadly
more of a cocktail party where people are there to socialize with tepid enthuisam for the game. Maybe it is the UT culture.

  • the problem is ticket prices are too high, too mnay ticket brokers with tickets and Texas fans are quite pathetic. My favorite part is when the Horn offense is about to have a crucial play, the crowd gets loud or when it is 3rd down the crowd waits until the opposing team calls their play before making noise. I pay a lot of money for sorry tickets in the nose bleeds...not going to do it anymore because i can buy face value lower level 30 yard line very easy.

So the home of Friday Night Lights, High School Football and all that other stuff, and thats the most the crowd can get up. Whata joke. I wonder how many of the recruits at the game are thinking its louder at their high school games. Weak

You could hear a mouse fart in that stadium.

    GO AWAY....NOBODY LIKES YOU
