I really have no idea what to think other than that we will win. Yes, they put up 70 against air/Baylor, but an awful Maryland held them to 31 after letting Temple score 36 on them the week before. WVU did play terrible on the road last year and this is their first road test this year, so hopefully that trend continues.

I think Maryland came ready to play and WVU not so much. I feel this game will come down to that too. Who's defense is going to show up and make a statement? That's what this game will come down to.

If I told you in August that this would be a legitimate point of discussion, you would have told me to seek mental help.

WVU was not a good road team a year ago, and I doubt they've ever played in an environment like they will tomorrow. Factor in their awful defense, and our defense likely playing better with the atmosphere, and it's easy to see how people are predicting a cover by Texas. The flipside is the injury situation at Texas - Hicks, Brown, and Moore are major losses.

.....Geno Smith is said to be coming into DKR with a chip on his shoulder from the lack of publicity he has gotten in the past....
He actually thinks he's been underpublicized?
Admittedly, we haven't known as much about him down here as I'm sure the fans in the northeast have for the past few years, but those guys just now joined the conference. I doubt if they knew a ton about Robert Griffin in West Virginia before last season, but down here we all knew about him.

Staff Predictions: Texas-West Virginia
