I think we see a TD pass from someone other than Ash, and a non-offensive TD...but OSU would go away easily.

I see this as a Texas win. The offense is really starting to click, but the difference in this game is going to come down to the Texas D finally showing up big. Look for Byndom to really step his game up. I see Texas trying to slow this game down with a power run game. An experienced Texas D going against an inexperienced Walsh will be the difference.

This offense makes me nervous, even with Walsh at QB. Maybe I should say especially with Walsh at QB. Makes me more nervous than going up against WVU at home.

I think people are overestimating OSU's team this year. They aren't that good. I guess maybe the Horns aren't either, though. We'll see.

I think that's the question that needs to be answered.
I'm going as much with recent history as I am what I know to be true. Texas hasn't done well against the better teams in the Big 12 the last two years.
If they perform better this year, that's a significant step IMO.

OSU has a good team and explosive O at times, but to be truthful IMHO, it's not about OSU. It's about Texas and how they perform Saturday. If our D has cleaned up the mistakes, plays fundamental football, creates T/O's, and communicates then I think we'll be fine. I also think if our O plays anywhere close you what we saw in Oxford, meaning no T/O's, physical football then Texas wins this game.

I guess I just don't get the hype with Oklahoma State.
They've beaten up on two bad teams and lost by three touchdowns to Arizona. They are now being QB'd by a guy who got beat out by a true freshman.
They're probably the best team we've faced to this point, but Weeden and Blackmon aren't walking through that tunnel.

I picked Texas 31-21 and while I agree with Bobby with respect to the defense struggling at times, particularly against the pass (which OSU will do more than run it), I think Diaz puts enough pressure on their young QB to throw a few picks and that will be the difference in the game. I think it's critical for Ash and the offense to continue to take care of the ball and for Harsin to utilize our run game against a defensive front that I think will have trouble to contain that. Because it's in Stillwater, I think this one is decided late, but it goes our way in the end... 31-21 Texas!

Turnover margin: Texas #6 - OSU # 105 (tied with OU)
Net punting: Texas #1 - OU # 32
Fewest Penalties: Texas #22 - OSU #97
Fewest Yards Penalized: Texas #19 - OSU #115

This is correct. People get gun shy about the recent past as though it is a great predictor of future returns. Now Texas is the team with some QB experience.
I'm going to be surprised if this game is super close. I think the rumors of the Texas defense's demise are greatly exaggerated. While I don't expect the offense to repeat what it did at Ole Miss, I do expect it to be very productive. I expect the game to be lower scoring than other people do, and Texas to win by double digits.
Give me 27-17.
