So if we win:
OU wins the Big 12. Kansas St. likely gets the Cotton Bowl bid. Mack is assured another season. We will have a legitimate QB controversy. The "all is well" crowd will be out in full force and the necessary changes will probably be ignored.
I will never root against the Longhorns, however it seems to me there may be more to gain by losing. Someone tell me I'm wrong?

Diaz plays more base. The defense carries out the assignments they know with confidence and reaction, rather than hesitance because of uncertainty. UT holds KSU to 24 points. Unfortunately, the offense can only manage 13.

If Texas loses to Kansas State you can still expect a QB controversy and Mack coming back. It is what it is unfortunately.
