Spring Football

Reports on the new offense.
Which QB is stepping up.
How does Irby look?
Do we have a 2nd DT?
How do the players like the new D?
So many questions and speculation.........
I've always liked this time of year.

I think one of your questions will be answered by Dorsey as I think he takes over the DT spot next to Randall. I am most interested in the QB battle, what the RS Freshmen look like after a year in our S&C program (yes, I know most was spent under Mad Dog), if Jackson or Phillips can step up and take over the FS position, and if Diggs has what it takes to be a starting CB as a freshman.

The configuration of the secondary this year will be interesting.
If Diggs makes some noise early, it could change the whole picture back there.

I would love to see Diggs be such a stud that he starts as a true freshman. The other thing that needs to happen is a change at FS. I don't care if it is Jackson or Phillips. If Scott or Gideon are both starting again, we are in for another long season filled with big plays by the opposing offenses.

Quarterback is king for me. So much of everything depends on if a viable, quality starter emerges from the pack. I'm also really looking forward to seeing what Wyatt can do with the WR's.

For me any and all of it. Coming off a season that was so disappointing it is like everybody and everything gets born again. New offense, new defense, new players, addition by subtraction and on and on. Feels like Christmas to me and opening up presents with everything being brand new. I am truly excited for Spring!!

I recall reading that there may not be any open practices. Not sure if that is definitive or not.

I don't worry about the down votes. Many of the down votes that I have gotten are bizarre too. I have also accidentally up voted or down voted posts on my cell phone which is easy to do - another reason not to pay them too much attention.

It's weird. I notice them on my posts but never pay attention to anyone else's stars. I would never read or not read a post based on star ratings.
Like everyone here, I have my favorite posters. If you look at their stars, they range from 3 to 5.
Oh well. I guess I'll get over it.

I'm willing to give Scott the benefit of the doubt, being that last year was his first year on the field. I also think he would have been better at free safety than strong safety but that is just my opinion. Be interesting to see how everything pans out.

I hope so for all of them. I think I read somewhere that Jeffcoat is still dealing with ankle issues. If that's true, we know what he can do. I'd rather have him ready for the fall.

I'm interested with Cobbs as well. I've heard nothing but great things about Jeffcoat, off the field as well in the offseason.
