Crystal ball MUST track historical accuracy of the various experts, not just the accuracy of users.... it is very difficult to know who is trustworthy based on their track record. To offer this level of insight and ability to know who is most accurate in a realm which is dominated by inaccuracy would truly be a value. Do any in the industry have the guts to have their track record measured?

Are you a 13 year old girl? Just curious, because that's how whiny and pathetic people like you who bitch about downvotes sound like.

The new information/tools are great but really I have a question and a concerned voiced by several the last 2 years.

We've been told that we can't get the basketball schedule or recruiting class on the home page because it takes way too much time for the tech people. Its the end of basketball season and the football schedule is still there with no basketball schedule. What is the excuse this time? There seems to be a different one for lack of recruiting information for basketball or common sense information like this the schedule.

We all enjoy Dave's game coverage and presser coverage for basketball but the other issues mentioned above would show at least an attempt to do what is expected from the customers...............

We knew it would take us 3 years to build basic infrastructure to the site. We are running about a year behind schedule. The balance has been to build "new" industry "stuff" will at the same time building core infrastructure features like schedules, user registration, article editor, etc.

We could have easily already built all of the commodity features, but that would not have made 247Sports unique at all -- just another copy of all the other sports sites.

Also, we have to build the features that the masses use. I could go bump basketball schedules to a higher priority and they make get 1% the use of new message board features. Its a constant juggling act of priorities and usage analytics.

Fortunately, we are making solid progress and getting closer to finalizing many of the infrastructure products.

I don't have a timeline for basketball schedules etc, but I do know that we are moving as fast as we can move and we are investing millions every year in building the platform. We are far from perfect and have a lot to learn, but we are trying and we will eventually reach our goals.

We appreciate your support and will continue to charge ahead. That may not be the answer you are looking for, but it's the truth.

They obviously don't care to support basketball, probably because they don't believe the benefit in new subscribers would be worth the effort. Especially for Texas.

I joined this forum because I wanted UT basketball information. Just because Hookem had the best UT basketball at that time does not excuse the short shrift that basketball is given. It is sad that if I want to look at up to date "standard" information like a schedule with up to date media information or a roster with all of the walk-ons on it, I by reflex will go elsewhere. I did go look at the schedule pull down and lt looks like it finally was put in a readable format - not combining parts of last season with this season as it was for a part of this season. I do not care whether there is any basketball information on the home page, because I do not look at the home page. I have the Hookem Board topic page bookmarked - maybe that should tell you something.

I, too appreciate the basketball content provided by Dave, and he seems to do a pretty good job with the time that he has - the emphasis should be on "with the time that he has". I am afraid, that if it were not for the content provided by some of your subscribers, I would not be quite so content. It is rather obvious that the majority of information regarding recruiting, linking up content from other sites, including newspapers, etc. comes from subscribers. Again, I mean no lack of appreciation for the content provided by staff. When it is provided it is top notch and much appreciated.

With regards to giving you feedback on the original post, I support wholeheartedly the comment made by papa horn. I have already put much more energy into giving you the feedback that I think is important, than I think I should have to. Perhaps a little more thought should have been put into a better way of gathering usable information. After all, someone is going too have to compile all of your feedback. That feedback is going to have to be interpreted by the compiler, thus diluting the input a bit further ... gee! Maybe, some of that time could be spent bringing some of the information for us basketball .... Aw, Hell! Just throw the basketball dogs a bone! Would ya! ;)

I appreciate everyone that is giving me feedback today, but it is certainly optional. I thank you for your contributions.

For what its worth, I am the compiler. I simply want to know what everyone thinks about the Player Database. Feel free to talk about other areas of the site, but my main objective with this post was to gather thoughts so I can communicate them to our design team and engineers.

I have gathered a ton of good feedback from the 14 sites I posted this message on this morning.
