"Pavlov was this scientist guy, you know, and every time this dog would ring a bell, Pavlov would eat."
I think what I liked most about Edmond's interception was that he caught the ball with his hands, he didn't trap it against his body, and the ball was thrown pretty darn hard. He just snatched it out of the air. Pretty impressive.
"I've heard some of our fans say, 'We were always an SEC school. We just didn't know it," athletic director Bill Byrne said.
The tackling is going to be an issue in our next three games. Teams do not even have to test our defense deep if a screen turns into 60-80 yards with regularity.
Our defense also does not play the zone/read or option well. Really disappointed so far this year with our defense. They do not tackle, they are not disciplined against the option and we dial up too many blitzes when it is completely unwarranted (Manny called a jail break safety blitz on 3rd and 20 last night and Ole Miss easily converted).
With that said, how about the offensive line? Did Ash feel any pressure last night? They did a good job of keeping the pocket clean and allowing him to make good decisions. The offensive line is playing at a much higher level right now than the defense.
That just shows how much you should read into all of these insider team practice reports.
Never thought I would watch a game this year where the OFFENSE essentially carried the DEFENSE.
I was expecting it to be the other way around.
Offense was really great last night. We only punted 1 time. That says a lot.
A number of the the deep passes were under thrown. Was that by design ?
