Case McCoy came in with little time left in game and took the team down field for two touchdowns and no interceptions. I still think he plays better under pressure. He may not have as strong arm but most times he gets the ball to his man. We lost coverage because Oklahoma was so far ahead just before Case went in so I switch to internet audio to hear finish of the game in Mississippi. I will never believe per-season hype again. Texas definitely not back.

OU wasn't even trying. They just wanted the game to be over.

They have been caught stealing money from UT.

This. And that fact that they had 3 string guys and walkons in the secondary.

Diaz has to go and not Brown? I am not saying today but at the end of the season, Brown has to go. The staff will be let go and the next coach can bring in his own people.

This. Anything short of a complete top to bottom house cleaning is a waste.

I thought we would be good this year... probably loose 2 and then next year play for the championship. Now I feel we will be lucky if we go 8-4 next year. This loss was embarrassing. Diaz has to go.

We will not win eight games this year. It looked to me like Mack lost more than a game today. He lost his team. How can they believe in their coaches and scheme after today?

I really hope I am wrong.

Four blowout losses to your biggest rivals compared to just five victories against that same coach.

I don't know how you explain that away.

  • Mack Brown needs t apologize like Chizik apologized to Auburn. That was disgusting.

  • I know I am nuts but I keep getting on here, thinking that I will read that Brown has retired. What did he say after the game? Did he talk to the radio guys at all?

Texas has the talent to be competitive in every game they play the remainder of the year but given what I just witnessed they may be lucky to go .500 the rest of the way.

    Baylor
    Texas Tech
    Kansas State

    Those will be tough games.

Then there's Iowa State and TCU which likely will be tough.

Only Kansas looks like a sure win.

Mack better get it straight or the season's going to unravel.

if the season unravels, recruiting will follow. a weak class will only get weaker.

  • Texas dominated the punting game. That's all of the good news.

  • It was obvious early on that the team had given up on the coaches. They aren't even going through the motions. We can bitch and moan about Diaz and his schemes, but superior athletes can overcome poor coaching. The players are not fighting, but laying down.
Now I am not excusing the coaches. HC, OC and DC all need to go. I know several high school OC and DC that can react to what they are seeing and call a play to counter it. Harsin continues to give the ball to JB when he CAN NOT see a hole much less get to it in time to do anything positive. Overall a very poor performance, and that blame goes to the players just as much as the coaches. PLAY WITH SOME DAMN PRIDE!!!

I said before this game a loss and this team begins to unravel. Just had that kind of feel with the close win in Stillwater, despite the horrible defense, the loss at home to WVU, despite another horrible defensive performance and then this. I was never expecting this kind of ass whoopin, so I'm not sure how this team recovers right now, especially on D. KV wanted to say a hell of alot more than he did during the PC. Mack was real close to calling out more coaches again (you could see it). It looked an awful lot like Iowa State a few years back and we all know how that season ended. I'm not so sure Mack stays this time. It's that bad IMO and I see this getting much worse until we make a change.

Forgive me but the season unraveled today. This program under the leadership of Mack Brown is done. It does not matter what the record is (though I want to win them all) All that matters now is making that decision to end it at end of the season. If one thinks this man can be Oklahoma next year, that person is deluded. Stoops owns Brown. Let's move on.

    Texhorn60

  • BobbyBurton said...

Mack's the head guy. The buck stops with him.

He can't pass the buck on program-defining decisions.

    - Ultimately, he's the one who didn't recruit Robert Griffin, not Larry MacDuff.

    - He's the one who didn't recruit Andrew Luck, not Greg Davis.

    - He's the one who dropped a successful offensive style in favor of one with less margin for error in an offensive league.

    - He's the one who allowed Mac McWhorter and Bobby Kennedy to recruit players who were incapable of being quality football players.

I have been perhaps the biggest advocate for Mack Brown during his tenure in Austin. But this game was ridiculous from start to finish. There's no other way to put it.

If he doesn't see it that way and own up to it completely, then I disagree with him.

I like Mack Brown. I don't like how he coached or prepared his team on Saturday.

    Four blowouts to OU.

Could not agree more! Maybe Mack will step up
and accept the blame, unlike the person running
our country. (Sorry, I couldn't resist the political)
Too bad we don't have a vote in Austin like we do
on Nov. 6. I was hoping Mack could hang around
long enough to break DKR's record, but now i'm
not so sure I want to see that happen.

thought this was the setup year as you. Now next season has totally reset in my mind without massive changes.

seeing Auburn get beat by Ole Miss badly today I have to wonder if Cam Newton drug Chizik to the title and see a comparison to Vince and Mack. Basically not good Head Coaches but had their moment with a special QB. Maybe a little unfair as Mack did make the game with Colt I guess and we might have won without the injury. Still see a comp.

  • Just too many players looking at the NFL, pointing fingers, or unwilling to make the needed sacrifice...the team does not respond to Mack, whatever he says flies over their heads, & he's lost the team

I suspect there have been internal fights during team meetings & other things that have occurred @ practice or in the locker that are being kept silent

But this is a dysfunctional team that does not care about their head coach, each other, or The University of Texas
