Sad that the alleged assualt...

  • is now the storyline behind our bowl game.

I hope Mack and Major can keep the team focused on the prize. What a horrible spot for Major to be in with no backup QB on the roster.

Also, will Jordan Hicks ever live up to his potential?

  • You'll have to ask Case how big of a bust Hicks is.

  • Yes, let's feel sorry for the coaches. That's really the thing to do right now.

Who would you feel sorry for?

How about the families of all the young people involved? Maybe it is just me, but I do not relish the agony that mother and fathers are now experiencing along with their children. I have no idea as to what actually happened. What I do know at least three families have had their life changed in the last 24 hours.

At least two guys were out to close to 3AM this morning drinking (I'm guessing more than two), Mack clap, Major, etc. apparently didn't have them focused so far. Is it reasonable to expect them to get the players focused 26 hours from kickoff? Mack clap gets an F in accountability, has for a long time.

The sad thing is that Mack doesn't have control of his team.

There is ZERO reason for your back up QB to be out in bars at 2 in the morning. The team should be in a hotel, there should be bed checks, and there should be trainers or asst. coaches in the lobby until late.

When I played college football, that is how my coach controlled the situation, and it worked.

This situation is at least partially Mack's fault.

What's Mack's fault is completely losing control of the team to the point they have no respect for him.

So much so that two supposed upper class team leaders don't even respect his curfew.

True - Mack should have walked that punk out of the Cotton Bowl when he refused to go on the field last year. Mack should be held accountable for not telling Case and Brad to hit the road, and go to Amarillo College where he could be a backup QB.

I really feel sorry for the other 83 scholarship players that had this experience taken from them by a few "veteran" players that are supposed to be providing an example for the younger guys.

We are talking about a guy that refused to go on the field when he was directed too... this guy should have been told to hit the road last year, and should have never been recruited.

  • Just like everything else, this is Mack's fault.

Pre season next year should set the low bar for excitement.

This is certainly NOT Mack's fault... but Case McCoy has been a detriment to this program for 2 years now, and it is beyond me how he hasn't just disappeared into obscurity.

I think that Mack has something to do with that, and that is on him. Case and his helicopter dad have been nothing but trouble for the University since they decided that Case had a lick of talent.

  • Stuff like this happens so rarely at Texas that it is big news. Heck, Oregon State just had 3 players spend at least a weekend in jail.

  • So has Brad McCoy written his last book
