    Wow.....

Stoops told him to go home for a few days and think it over. No final decision that I have seen yet.

  • Think how we all would be feeling if Texas had been the school getting all the news OU has gotten this offseason. We have, on the whole, gotten good news, reasonably good health reports n our guys, no significant off field issues ( ala TCU). Our coaches all seem to be good honorable men, our athletes are on the whole good young folks, and seem to have come to fall camp in shape and ready to work. Not so OU.

I am so thrilled with the direction our team is taking, with the young men our coaches have recruited the last two classes, and what the current class is looking like. Long term looks very promising for the good guys

With all that, if we get curb stomped by OU again it'll be a f'n embarrassment. No reason we shouldn't at least muck it up enough on the ground and defense to have a chance to win in the 4th. That team is falling to pieces around a senior QB.

Rush of bad luck so far. I dont know about bad shape, but bad luck for sure.

As a guy who spent 5 truly wonderful years of my childhood in Oklahoma, has made many trips back to give workshops, or try lawsuits, visit friends or just to eat at my favorite steakhouse, Cattleman 's in OKC, I don't hold quite the animosity to OU that some of the others here do. ( I would root for OU over Aggie or USC, and would honestly give Stoops a Christian burial if something unfortunate were to occur) . But just wanted to say that for a person from the juco of the plains, oka OU, you write decent stuff and it is good to have you here

It'll be interesting to see how the interior of your line plays. Not sure it'll have a drastic effect on Jones since he gets the ball out pretty quick, but it can't help the depth. Your interior is now a lot like tackle for us. Another injury is going to be bad news. And that has to do with Habern and Stevens moe than JMM.

  • August has simply been brutal for the OU offensive line. Two projected starters down for the count. A big time Juco transfer who had been counted on for depth ruled ineligible. Now , probably their top high school recruit quitting before showing up for pre-season drills. Its basically equivalent to having Texas lose Espinosa, Walters, and Hawkins; along with Riser. The Sooners are about as thin along the O.L. at this point as crepe paper.

  • just sounds like football isnt his thing. Too bad because if you can grind through for a few years you end up with a free education.

    723,
I was trying to upvote this post as I agree with you regarding Bruthaman but got the downvote on my mobile. I got you back on another post.

    For bruthaman,
Appreciate your ability to post over here with respect. +1 to you, too.

  • Overall OU just isn't bringing in players that are very tough these days.

Horns going to stomp a mudhole in the Sooners in early October.

    It won't be pretty.

    I said OVERALL.

Good for Austin, but still says little for the rest of the team.
