I just saw that he has a 3 year deal for $1.485 million with Arizona Cardinals.
Did I just totally miss this GREAT news???

I was curious if he's workout at the UT pro day. My guess is Arizona wanted to lock him up prior to that. I wonder how muck of it guaranteed if any?

Starting with the kickoff he returned for a TD against OU in 2011 all the way until he got hurt in the Mizzou game, he played like a man possessed that season. Talk about vocal leaders all you want, but every time I have the choice, I'll take a guy who plays with that kind of determination over a guy who runs his mouth.
Hope he has a long and prosperous NFL career.

Bingo. Beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick but if it isn't guaranteed and he's cut, not so much.....

He hasn't made the team yet.
Big question is how much is guaranteed if any on the contract.
Lets hope he takes advantage of the opportunity. In 2011 he was playing like a man on a mission to make the NFL before Mizzous BS turf screwed him,

Easy to root for Fozzy. In fact, I hope they tear that contract up before it is complete and renegotiate a better deal for him. Easily one of my favorite Longhorns all-time.

He ran Harsin's wildcat to perfection. I remember we couldn't score to save our lives that season and the wildcat was our only hope anytime we got into the endzone.

I'm so glad he's getting his shot. I'm disgusted by what that mizzou field did to his knee. Fozzy is a hell of a player.

It's a bit misleading to say he's got a 3 year contract. He still has to make the team. Undrafte free agents with a destroyed knee don't get many gurantees.
The bright side is they signed him to a futures contract so that means he doesn't have to sit all spring, wonder about his future and rehab on his own dime. It's pretty amazing that he's still rehabbing a year and half later. I saw online where he's got a $405k base which I think is league minimum. Thats nice if he's drawing that while he trains and rehabs.

I don't thnk the base is paid until he is on the roster after the last cut before the 1st regular season game. then its paid weekly and guaranteed. Whatever he got in a bonus would be paid now, if any. He can use all their resources though, and their facilities.

I think most of us understand that this isn't a guaranteed contract. It's just exciting that he's at least getting a shot.
