    If not, then great... Yet another non violent offender sucking our tax dollars paying for his cost of living.

    Not violent crime but he did commit burglary.

    Burglary is such a short step up to violent crime it isn't funny. Especially when a druggie is involved. Watch Investigation Discovery programs for a weekend and you will see at least two shows about it.

  • It's interesting to look back at the 1998 draft when the Mel Kipers and other talking heads at ESPN were saying that Ryan Leaf would be a better pick overall than Peyton Manning. They talked about him having better arm strength. IIRC, they ridiculed Indy for taking Manning over Leaf.

    Flash forward to 2012, he's going to jail and Peyton would still be playing if his defense hadn't blown it.

    Fixed. Manning has a losing record in the playoffs and outside of one year he always screws up when the big game is on the line. His special teams gave him 14 points and he had numerous chances to win the game but he threw a hideous overtime pick to blow it.

    The majority of the Chargers front office wanted Leaf too. If picking pros is such an inexact science, think how hard it is to identify high school talent.

  • I don't think it was so much that people thought Leaf was better. I think the question was whether or not Manning was maxed out when compared to Leaf's ceiling. I think it was assumed even then that Manning was the safer pick.

  • I don't think prison is going to do anything for him unless he's put in some kind of forced treatment program. Until he gets clean he's going to continue circling the drain until he kills himself.
