    She's still repping the Horns. Even though he represents the enemy it's the husband that I don't understand. Sports are the man's domain where I'm from. I don't know of any woman that is as religiously devoted to Longhorn football as me and the rest of you idiots on here. Any woman I marry will fall in line when it comes to Longhorn Athletics, or I'm not going to marry them. Simple as that.

  • Die hard longhorn friend of mine is married to a sooner. Boy children wear horns gear and girls wear sooners gear. His wife is not the typical sooner though.

    I'm always going to be a horn fan but if I love the girl the team she likes or doesn't like is inconsequential to me. The physical thing is temporary but I like them at the time I see them.

    I have a couple friends that are women, that I dare say are as devoted Longhorn football fans as much as you, maybe more?? They travel to each away game every year, work schedule permitting... and then some! Careful what you ask for...

    How can you dismiss a person or people just for the team they like. I've been neighbors of and served with some the best people whom just happened to be Sooner fans. I don't know you from Adam, but that was over the top IMO.

  • I met some girl the other night that was decent and we seemed to have a thing going until I found out she was a Sooner fan. I could put up with it if she was a knockout, but this one wasn't so I slowly withdrew.

  • I married an OU grad. She's pretty quiet about it all after year 2 or so. She used to be a big time fan, now it is covert at best. It's the inlaws and friends from up in OKC that bug the crap out of me. They were so excited when OKC beat the Dallas Mavs they couldn't stand it. Now it's all about sweeping Texas. Idiots. I used to live up near Dallas and we got visitors a lot, not so much any more, just the emails. Sooner wives are one thing, it's the family baggage that's the issue.

How about listening to the golf tournament this week and sitting on the edge of your seat with your heart pounding? How about spending almost every year at Omaha for the World Series? How about NEVER missing a home football game? How about NEVER missing a home basketball game? Can you beat it?
