Strong possibility that Swoopes never throws him a single pass in college whether he goes to Texas or not.
2013 - Swoopes redshirt, RSJ plays 2014 - Swoopes RS Fr, RSJ sophomore with Ash as a senior 2015 - Swoopes RS So and fighting Brewer (RS Jr), Overstreet (Sr), and whoever the 2014 guy is, RSJ a junior 2016 - Swoopes may or may not be the QB, RSJ may or may not still be in college
And that doesn't even factor in the fact that his ceiling is higher on defense and that he is probably a better defensive player in high school (instincts, and that is saying something) already.

I've been a Cody Thomas fan since before this class started getting filled. I don't like the idea of going after a guy that looks like he is suited for the spread option when we're supposed to be transitioning to a power running team. I wasn't before, and am still not sold on the Swoopes take, however with all of that in mind, I still think this thread is dumb.

I thought he played for Texas Pro? If he plays for Rytes Warriors I'm not sure that coach has the pull, influence, or connections for things people are insinuating.
They are not a big player on the HS scene. They are a great youth AAU program, but usually their teams are taken by sponsored teams as they get closer to HS.

Its actually a weird deal as the Rytes Warriors 17U team that RSJ plays for is the majority of the Texas PRO 16U team he played with last year. If RSJ was playing with Texas PRO he would've played in the EYBL which he didn't. I don't know who the coach of Rytes Warriors is but I don't think he has the pull to do some of the stuff thats being insinuated either.

"Buffy Seals-Jones told Hookem.com that Texas is still in the mix for her son. Seals-Jones is expected to visit Texas A&M soon, sources tell Hookem.com, while LSU will also provide Texas with some tough competition.
Also in the mix for Seals-Jones, according to his mother, are Kansas, Kentucky, SMU, Baylor and Cal."
Apparently you know more about this situation than his mother.
