RSJ has got to Play on Defense for this to be ONE for the ages

  • After watching his videos again......

    Yes he would be a great TE/Hback / Wr

    but no where near the devasting effect he is going to have on this DEFENSE......

    I am convinced Its going to be RSJ at DE/LB and Raulerson to OT or Tackle

    RSJ can always play TE in certain situations....but DE/LB will be where he brings in the big bucks.....

    Texas will take Prevot and RSJ at DE......

    and they will have to get Two TE's to make this work......

    Smythe is one, and if they pursue another TE, and take both SAMPLES and Dontre Wilson, t

    then I bet your ass, Manny DIAZ is in RSJ ear......and letting him know , he will be starting from day one LB/DE.....

    RSJ is meant for Defense...., He is what they make Football legends out of ala Julius Peppers type of athletes.......

    If i am a betting man, i would watch if UT goes after another TE after Smythe...... that might just let us know what the staff is thinking when they think RSJ

    RSJ, Malcom Brown, Darius James , Ashawn Robinson, Blueitt, Toshiro Davis, that is just as nasty and athletic and fast as our Offensive Line.

    this would be a Defensive Line of the AGES with Edmond/Santos as middle LB's

    Kent Perkins and Jake Raulerson as our only Offensive lineman, would mean we need another Guard/Center.....Interior......, ????

    RSJ to Defense this is what I am predicting.....hoping / begging......his big money will be made at DE/LB Julius Peppers type of money..!!!

    All can jump...all have great timing, and extremely athletic, not to mention hand eye coordination, not to mention LOooong ass arms....

    just their arms along will be a nightmare for opposing Qbs trying to throw over the middle.... ala New York Giants super bowl defense

  • Darius James is a Center, not a defensive player.... and a good chance AShawn plays O line though they told him D-line. Don't forget Texas also has D. Hall as a DE signed up.

    But still keep darius james, I had to put him as a Dt especially after watching him on film....

    Soooo if your still with me,,,,,,, after this last rum and coke...

    And that leaves us with the option to go after another center/guard/dt jumbo athlete

    Burton said that there source said they were going after guys who could play multiple positions

    Im thinking we might not be done at offensive line..... .????

    I want what you are having... but on a serious note, I think D. James is rated the number 1 center in the country, and we are stacked at young talent at DT. He will stay on the o-line.

    There is nothing you are writing that is really off the wall. These kids being recruited by Mack to play offense truly are great athletes capable of playing defense.

    What has me excited is the prospect of having a big, ATHLETIC, and quick offensive line. I am excited about Oliver and RSJ blocking downfield for Gray, Brown, and JB. I am excited about a team that might get 3500 yards in a couple of years.

  • Prevot and Hall are our bookends this class end of story.. RSJ and Smythe are our TE. Samples, Oliver, warrick our WR. Warrick may play CB.

  • Id like another DE, like Joey Bosa or Deon Hollins. I think we are full at DT, have really good depth there for the first time in several years. I think we are about full on OL as well. The only way I could see us taking another OL is attrition. The way i see the class rounding out is:
    1 WR (I think Massington will get his offer soon, I get bad vibes from Samples)
    1 RB/APB (Dontre Wilson)
    1 TE (Durham Smythe)
    2 DE or hybrid LB/DE (Torrodney Prevot and DJ Ward, stealing OK's top guy again lol)
    DT - I think A'shawn is our guy and will stop with 1 unless Manning comes around
    1-2 CB (Cole Luke for sure. Antwuan Davis will jump ASA/if we offer)
    2 S (I think we offer Kameron Miles, and Akina works his magic and pulls Harris away from Boom down in the swamp. Right now i think its a push btwn Vonn Bell and Marcell Harris. Both are outstanding athletically, physically gifted, intelligent Playmakers. And what better way to entice them then watching our All-American Kenny Vaccaro making plays all year. All Akina has to do is point and say,"This will be you for the next 4 years."

    So if we sign all that i mentioned, that would put us at 20. If Manning wants to come, I think our 2nd CB offer would not happen, thus we would only take one CB this year. I think we need to take 2 safeties. We are already thin at that spot this year, and Kenny V. will be moving on. If we cant pull any OOS Safeties, I would go all out for Sir Baltimore and not lose any sleep. Sooooo many good safety prospects this year

  • RSJ is a meaner version of Julius Peppers but with a raised in the Texas highschool football slant....

    RSJ has Steve Edmond type of instincts, viciousness, a suddeness, this kid not only hits you, he brings his whole body ...arms flailing on you.

    Yes, I meant run for 3500. I think this group has the talent to reach that goal in a couple of years. That would put them in the top ten for team rushing yards.

    arriving any day from Havana is several boxes of Trinidads Robusto extras, more Salomons and some Cohiba Double Coronas....

    just puffed on the new Cohiba Behike , ring 54 tobacco was smoooooth ggooood but the draw sucked, so i put it down.....

    grabbed me a Solomon, let me telll ya....thats a big ass figurado.....brought me to places, and times that only Cuba could bring me.....

    puffing on this Solomon, watching the girls walk by.....trying to figure out who to recruit...how to get more......is somewhat confusing...and stressfulll, sitting on the beach drinknig rum and coke....
