  • Park Board told OU’s commited to staying at Cotton Bowl through 2020. But it’s not official. Not yet, anyway. | City Hall Blog

  • There is nothing like walking the midway after the game.I hope it stays in the cotton bowl forever.

  • Cotton Bowl needs more events for year round revenue to keep this game in tact.

Laura Miller and Jerry Jones were total idiots for not compromising and building the new Stadium in Fair Park.

How cool with the Texas State Fair be with a state of the Art Stadium like the one that exists in Arlington?

It would suck. That state of the art stadium has an enormous screen that detracts away from the game, and tons of ads and loud annoyances. It's cold and impersonal.

This isn't the NFL. This is College football, where real passion lies. Texas ou in the historic Cotton Bowl, under under the sun. F*ck state of the art.

That's just one issue. The classic bowl design at the Cotton Bowl also makes almost any seat a good seat, just like the Rose Bowl. I've sat everywhere and had a great vantage point of the game. You can't do that in Jerry World.

When you see the fair, and the iconic cotton logo on the stadium and you feel the warm Texas sun, its the whole experience, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

If you wanna experience the game at 70 degrees and kick back some brews while being bombarded by loud ads, sit in your recliner and watch it on tv.
