Just curious... I notice that he signed with OU today out of JUCO.
Can you mods shed some light on why Texas chose not to re-recruit this kid? I know that he really loved the Longhorns and would have re-signed in a heartbeat had we re-offered him a scholarship.
Is this just a case of two different coaches having a different opinion about a guy? Bo Davis wasn't here when Q was recruited to Texas out of high school. Did he (Bo) just not like something about Q's game?
What are your thoughts?

I think it's partly this combined with what was perceived to be a numbers issue earlier in the year.

Thanks Bobby! Just hearing interviews with Q, he seems to be one of those bleeding orange type of guys. I am pretty sure he would have jumped on an offer (even if it were late)... Hughes and Russell are two guys that would have done anything to get on the field at DKR, and now both of them are land thieves. Sad for sure... even sadder that those idiots moved Hughes to OT.

I think he said the staff didn't even offer him any explanation or let him know they were going a different route... They just ceased contact abruptly. If that's true it's a back handed way to do it and I'm sure he'll come back to bite our ass down the line. Not like they'll need him to do it though, at this point Stoops could take a JUCO team and whip Mack's ass.

Considering he was a 1st team NJCAA can we consider this a missed evaluation by the staff?

He failed to qualify. That was his fault. Our staff owed him zip after that.

I just think Bo Davis wasn't all that interested in recruiting him for his interior defensive line. Right or wrong - who knows.
I guess we will find out next year or the year after.
