  • Soo with Fera joining us now, everyone is predicting a 10-2 season....Since I'm hopefully going the to the Red River Shootout, I'm hoping we can pull off that game, so my guess is that our 2 losses will be the WVU game and the game at K-State...where does everyone else think our 2 losses come from???

    ValleyHorn

  • Is this an indication that the rest of the league is down , or being bombarded by sanctions ?

Doubt we lose to K-State they have no Wr Depth and with B. Moore and M. Brown added to the D-Line rotation they wont be able to run on us. I have us at 11-1 with a loss to WVU or TCU many people over look TCU hopefully we wont.

I have us losing to OU and that's it. That could change though. I want to see how good this offense is before I say 12-0.

I don't know, the little apple can get crazy and it seems to always be an Achilles' heel for us...plus they have their Qb coming back, which gave everyone fits last year....my guess is that Snyder will have a couple of trick plays for that game that could put us away in the 4th qtr.

Just me, but I think Kansas State at 21 is a joke. They will be better than that IMO.

Very much this... especially with almost all starters returning on Defense!

Calling it now, Fera will be HUGE in the RRS this year. So many times this game comes down to field position and having a kicker like Fera on the team will definitely swing that in our favor this year. I'd be surprised to see OU get a chance to return too many kick offs and as a punter he has the ability to pin opposing teams DEEP. When he's not pinning the opposing teams deep, he gets incredible hang times which will cut down any potential issues of out kicking the coverage.

^This! That is why I have hope for the RRS!

What if it is the same officiating crew that called last year's K-State game?

My first thought as well. That and did the coaches not watch Bama drumb LSU last year and Bama kept its QB

They drummed LSU last year when?

  • I think 15 is accurate. Everyone might forget, if Texas can truly stick to ground pound, mistake free football they have a legitimate chance to not only go 10-2 but go 12-0. Their defense and running game are unlike anyone else in the Big 12. If they turn the ball over, get behind in games, and have to play catch up by throwing then it's not gonna fly.

Well I guess it was actually this year, but last season. MNC: 21-0. I didn't watch it. Who wants to watch two SEC teams in the supposedly national championship? Not me at least. I don't especially like USC but they may guarantee that we don't have an SEC rematch again and hopefully the Big 12 will produce a no loss team too (c'mon boys hook 'em)

  • That ranking makes sense to me... USC not being ranked #1 is a joke though.

  • Also side note from the poll here are the percentages for teams ranked for the 6 major BCS conferences (ranked in the top 45):

    Big 12: 8/10 80%
    SEC: 11/14 78.6%
    ACC: 6/12 50%
    Big East: 4/8 50%
    Pac 12: 5/12 41.7%
    Big 10: 4/12 33.3%

Our running game will be as good or better. We may not have as many attempts, but we will be effective.

There is nothing more dangerous in this world than a man with nothing to lose.

If you are saying the OU running game will be as good as OU was last year, okay. If you are saying that OU's running game will be more effective than Texas, you are venturing into Aggie territory and delusional.
