If our defense plays the way we all think they will diaz will be gone, who do you guys think would be good dc candidates to replace him. I'd like for us to go after narduzzi from msu.

Was that the problem? I don't think he could give much more notice as that was a bang/bang hire and process. I think most. Of his issues were with Davis' BS and the old coddler Mack. I think these new SEC coaches have made Mack look back and realize he was wrong in a lot of what ticked Muschamp off.

It is likely he won't leave for any second tier program and it would be hard to go to a probation handicapped school if you want to win. He will get serious offers from a lot of schools though. We might be able to keep him one more year unless all the ducks line up this year.

I really believe Mack's last campaign will be 2013. That should be a NC Title Run with the talent that has been added in last 2 years and them peaking in Soph/JR years (especially if a QB steps up). If he doesn't win it, he will have returned the program back to the "NC Neighborhood" as he described back in 1999 as his primary goal and he can take satisfaction in that.
