A few select players talked to the Texas radio broadcast crew after the game.
Peter JinkensIt just feels good to play....I was hyped at first, but then I came down and made a few plays. Overall I probably could've done a little better so I've got to go back and watch film and see what I could've done better.
It was pretty hard (trying to slow Collin Klein). He's pretty big and pretty quick. He's pretty patient finding his holes...He's a real good player. He's tough beyond question so I just had to do my best.
It would be big (to play in his hometown in the Cotton Bowl). I'd et to see my family again and they'd come to see me play. That would be good.

D.J. MonroeOn finally getting in on the action:We've got to be mentally tough. Nobody can see us get frustrated over simple plays. Plays come and go we play strong, we finish strong. If we're up or we're down we just have to keep playing as Texas running backs. That's just what we do.
On getting one more game with the bowl:It means a whole lot to me to be honest with you. I must leave Texas with a win. I will not leave with a loss. Texas has been great to me and I want to leave the university with a win.
