My guess is that Texas doesn't get a single player or recruit from PSU. It just doesn't seem to fit what we have ever seen from Mack Brown. But if the kicker is good I would take him. I just don't see it happening.

I'd be absolutely shocked if Texas didn't at least call Fera.

No idea if he's good or not though. I know he got beat out and transferred to Pius, but he had a strong leg in HS. Every kickoff was through the uprights, but we've seen that before and they get to campus and can't get it to the five.

As important as our kicker might be this season, this is a guy we should definitely contact. From his PSU player page he seems pretty good...

In the 10-7 division win over Illinois, Fera played an important role. He made a 30-yard field goal with seven minutes to play and punted eight times, with two inside the 20. Fera broke his career-long for field goals twice in the win at Ohio State, connecting from 43 yards and 46 yards, the latter on the final play of the first half, for a 20-14 lead and the eventual winning score. He also placed three punts inside the 20 against the Buckeyes to claim Big Ten weekly honors for the third time in seven games. At Wisconsin, in rainy conditions, Fera punted five times for a 46.2-yard average, with a long of 55 yards and three punts inside the 20. Fera punted nine times against Houston in the TicketCity Bowl, averaging 41.6 yards with a long of 55. He was on the field for 137 plays.
