Umm... what?

Personally, I think Penn State got off light. All this whining about whether this is a football or competitive or legal issue is childish. Do they have jurisdiction, blah blah blah.

The NCAA should have ejected them from their organization. That's something they have both clear power and justification to do, no arguments at all. Anything less and the football program should be grateful for, get down on its knees and grovel like the disgusting organization it is.

"The NCAA went too far?" I'd argue that they didn't go far enough.

It isn't childish. Rules/regulations were established for a reason.

I can understand the emotional argument that many are making to want the NCAA to hammer PSU. I get that.

But it's still, in my opinion, an overreach.

Penn State had a hand in crafting and promoting the very rules they broke. I don't feel sorry for them in the least.

I have not read everyone's comment, but I like yours. Some may cry extreme but the crime was extreme. I think the stadium going dark for two years with Penn State having to pay the lose of revenue to the teams on their schedule would fit. Yes and maybe just not allowing Penn State to participate in NCAA sports for two years or longer seems just. At least they deserve the death penalty that SMU got and more.

Wrong. The NCAA rule book pertains to more than what happens on a court or field. You may not want to admit that or like that but it's true.
