Following Friday's practice, Texas defensive coordinator Manny Diaz appeared to be the midst of allowing his beard to grow.

Diaz said he's not trying to go Grizzly Adams on everyone. He's just trying to allow his facial hair to portray the mood of fall camp.

“[It] just sort of matches with what this week is all about," he said. "Just kind of rugged out there. It's that time of year when we're in our shop, we're under the hood, we're getting our elbows dirty and hopefully we bring the car out in three weeks and hopefully it'll look the way we want it to look.”
