  • I really liked hearing from Rod on his sideline view of the Alamo Bowl and Mack Brown in particular. He is always right there with the players and coaches during the game. It starts about 1:27 into the show and we stay on the topic for a few minutes.

  • The talk about David Ash was very interesting as well. It starts around the 17-minute mark and Rod has some great insight. He also explains what he thinks Major's affect on David will be. We stay on the topic for about ten minutes while also talking play-calling and plenty of Ash and Applewhite.

  • Rod's take on the technique issues that affected the Texas defense this season was also some really good info. He talks about how the players process the info and evolve as players both off the field and on the field. This starts around the 37:30 mark and the discussion continues for about eight minutes.

  • Rod mentioned he thinks Hicks won't be back. Do you know if he believes McCoy will share the same fate? I am assuming it has to do with the legal issues...

    DK25

  • Rod's predictions for the 2013 season in "The Blitz" also had a few answers that sort of surprised me. It is a good listen.

  • DK25... I don't want to speak for Rod so I will ask him in Tuesday's episode. We really appreciate all of the listeners. Feel free to ask us whatever you like and we will work them into the show.

  • Longhorn in OK.... We haven't forgot about your question either. With the Alamo Bowl preview and review episodes, coupled with the holidays, we haven't had the time to thoroughly address your topic. Rod will address the X's and O's of Manny Diaz's defense.

  • We will be posting our weekly episode this Thursday. After we map out our schedules for the offseason we should be able determine the best day to post the show every week.

Thanks again to all of the listeners. Without you guys the show would not exist, and we truly do appreciate all of the support.

With the show debuting this past May, I feel we have really made it a quality product. We will continue to put forth our best efforts in order to provide the Hookem nation with the most accurate information regarding the Longhorns coupled with great insight and as many guests as possible.

And if you haven't had a chance to listen yet, I recommend giving it a try. It's free and it is the first podcast devoted strictly to Texas Longhorns athletics!
