Grew up a Spurs fan, so Spurs all the way for me. If the Spurs do lose to the Thunder, I will be hoping Kevin gets his first ring, especially if it is the Heat.

Yes he was a one and done for Texas, but he is a very vocal and supportive "ambassador" to the university. He was in the stands (and recognized on tv) multiple times at games last season. IIRC, hasn't he returned every summer and worked out with the team?

THAT points out exactly why it is nuts to root for a team because of UT former players. There have been, and are, players on many teams. It would drives you nuts to select your teams that way. Big Dex is one of my favorites of all time but no way in hell am I rooting for the Heat, yikes.

Your rooting for the players, coach and organization, not the fanbase. Who some of the Thunder fanbase chooses to root for in college sports has really nothing to do with it.
