Ok someone help me out.

Maybe I'm just not quick enough.
The quarterbacks from all reports aren't doing that great a job. The wide outs we're told are looking great and have made numerous plays on our outstanding corners.
So if you haven't figured out where I'm going with this yet, these receivers, the ones making the great catches and plays, are getting the ball how exactly?

Maybe by the receivers beating the defensive backs in the route, then the quarterbacks missing the opening or throwing passes off target to allow dbs to get back into the play, then the receivers making the adjustment and outmaneuvering the defensive backs for the ball?
Or are we not supposed to attempt an answer?

I like that someone gave it a shot. The problem with your analogy IMO is the quarterbacks would still look good at the end of the day. Because if they get the ball to the receiver they've done their job.

They might look good on the stat sheet, but I think under those circumstances that most observers would report they looked bad on the field.

Accuracy so that the WRs aren't having to make acrobatic catches and being able to run after the catch is one thing. Another is progression of reads and decision making. Those are a few things that could be the discrepancy that your asking about. Failing in these areas can lead to a few spectacular plays but mainly inconsistency. Sounds like that's what we have from QBs so far.

Receivers can look good in 1v1s and then not so much in team because the QB can't pull the trigger in the different setting.
