Interesting. That's two OTs they have lost this offseason including their starter. Anybody remember if Brantley was officially offered by Texas?

He was never officially offered. But he very well would have been had he made an unofficial visit.

Very disappointing. Brantley had worked so hard to get in the best shape he ever was as a senior. A lot of talent - and another that isn't going to realize it.

This may not be a popular post, but then again many of my posts aren't popular:
I like eastern Oklahoma. A lot of nice lakes to do some boating/fishing, a couple of nice and very friendly small casinos where we were treated VERY well (and some of the loosest slots especially compared to the DFW area ripoffs that are Choctaw and Winstar), and some genuinely nice people that I met up there.
Central and Western OK on the other hand...

I was listening to the Galloway show make fun of the personal reasons response this week regarding some kid from SMU that is trying to make the Cowboys and quit only to come back two days later b/c of personal reasons. Basically they were laughing b/c it's a way to get away with saying absolutely nothing and everything could fall under personal reasons.
Why did you get the guacamole sandwich? Personal reasons
Why are you doing awesome at work? Personal reasons
Why did you turn lesbian? Personal reasons
Works for everything.

I really don't get it. I can see leaving after a full semester if you really hate where you are at but leaving this early doesn't make much sense to me. Granted, Oklahoma sucks but if you've grown up in Texas you should know that. I would imagine that one of the challenges these kids face that some may not handle well is the reality that once recruiting is over & you are in the fold; they aren't "big man on campus" anymore.
