Gerry, Bobby and Jeff...do you think Mack and company continue to recruit RSJ and fight to get him back in the fold?
In the past it seems feelings would be hurt and they would move on. Hope that is not the case.

Bingo, the thought that immediately crossed my mind when I heard the news was the play everyone was singing RSJ's praise over. The incomplete pass that he caught, or the one that should have been. That might have more of an impact than we thought. He might not hav been in awe of swoops.

Not sure you know where I am going because you seem to have missed the most important issue in the comment. Maybe you didn't realize it but you made my point with the reference to us winning a NC while losing AP to Sooners. The kid is important but he is only one player and not as big as losing AP. That's my point. I have almost forty years of misses. Which one or ones do you prefer?

would you mind sending a PM to PDX Horn
I still think he'd be getting the same level of negative recruiting about how we would use him, why we keep having players leaving, who's going to throw him the ball etc. etc. but it probably wouldn't have had as much of an effect unless you add in the whole basketball angle.

What is the common nexus here? L$U, A$M.
Answer: $
Street agent and/or relatives seeking "extra benefits".
We are going to need to get serious with the under-the-table tactics of $EC/L$U/A$M.
We must have a conversation with the NCAA enforcement personnel to have any hope of combating illegal recruiting tactics.
Thomas, Johnson, Darius White, Rashaad Samples, RSJ.
There, at first glance, appears to be a common thread in these unusual developments. A$M may have gone to the Dark Side in the blink of an eye and is returning to the Jackie Sherrill era tactics.

Interesting take, however, I'm not buying the "dominating against the dominant SEC defenses" is what it takes to make first round money in the NFL.
If he completely dominates in the Big 12, his road to first round NFL money will be all but guaranteed.
This kid can't (I hope) have an ego that would dictate a defection to the SEC just to face better competition.

I understand your point, but it's invalidated by the Ryan Perrilloux debacle. Did a lot of people believe he'd decommit? Yes. Did it shock and anger the staff? yes. Did they get lucky that McCoy turned out to make it not matter and make us all forget? Yes. That doesn't change how big it was at that moment in time. That happened the week of signing day. This happened 8 months before one. So it is hard to see how the margin can be considered large at all, no matter how it is couched.

Bobby, you have made revisionary history into an art form; but this takes the cake. Losing a position player eight months away from signing day doesn't come close to having the #2 QB in the country decommitt the week before signing day. I don't know what your motivation is, but its getting old.

Not Bobby but what the hell could bother you about losing Perriloux? The guy is a bust. If he couldn't win the QB job at LSU then he sure as hell couldn't win it at Texas.
