  • As long as Kirkendoll isnt in there, I don't care who lines up.

  • I'm very interested to see Scott in coverage this weekend. Very.

By the last quarter of the season, Mike Davis, Marquise Goodwin, Malcolm Williams Darius White top four WR's. Kirkendoll 5.

Gerry, I could be wrong but I think White has more to go than that. Concur on Davis, Goodwin and Williams being the top 3.

Scary to think where we would be if Goodwin didn't play football, Mike Davis went to LSU, and Darius White OU.

Everyone saw this coming, but what a Mind F for these RB's.

Right call on both of these, imo.

I'm a Fozzy guy, as long as he can stay in there and contribute. Best big play potential we have. Tre Newton for situational and 3rd down usage and Cody to pound it in on the goalline and 4th Q.

  • So this means the Cody Johnson is back at the top of the RB chart for UCLA?

Hadn't thought about that. Wow would we be in the weeds.

While I agree with the sentiment, but biggest reasons why the coaches took another at Davis was Apo going to BYU, and Collins becoming an off the field nightmare.

Kirkendoll made the 2nd most important catch of the 2009 Fiesta Bowl.

He also made a great play against A&M many people forget.

What they remember is him seemingly going AWOL for longer stretches than you'd expect and the drop against Nebraska. The Nebraska drop changes the complexion of that game entirely.

interested is not the word I would have used but it is time to seperate wheat from chaff.

    Wouldn't dispute those WRs.

  • Gerry --

Last week, was Scott beaten in coverage when Texas was in a zone?

I wouldn't think he would get matched up with another teams WR very often since he seems to be our 5th best cover guy out of our top 6 DB's.

    I like it!

Those who can, do; those who can't, coach; those who never could, complain about the first two.

    Plenty of criticism.

Who would you pick as the starter then??

    That's what I thought....

As of right now, I have no problem with who the coaches are naming the starter. I just wish one of them would *win* the ob so it didn't have to be a week-to-week discussion. You have to think that that mentality effects your entire offense, not just the RBs on the roster.

Colt didn't deserve the Heisman last year.

Scott had a few passes complete on him or in his area. They either went after him a little or it was just who was open. Hard to know for sure with a TV camera view.

  • Is Shead the best back on campus say in October? If so, he should play, especially if no other RB can take the job.

How would they know that, if he's not getting as many looks in practice? If they're really planning on shirting him, I would doubt he's getting as many reps as the other 3, but who knows.
