I'm guessing a shirt for Brown is unlikely. What about Cole?

i don't see any way he redshirts unless he gets hurt between now and our opening game. i don't like it for true freshmen at a power position, but he's about as ready as they come. and we need him.

Cole runs a 4.8. Please don't get hung up on Cole's forty time. That's not his strength. His football speed is good enough and I thought that he would get surprisingly deep in hs zone drops duing pass plays.

So during the army bowl it was pointed out that Cole was a bit out of place at OLB and was just learning the position. I'm not certain what is happening at MLB. Obviously Edmond and Santos are MLBs all the way. But Moss could move to FB full time and ADLT could possibly play OLB, and I think both OLB positions will field a very nice 2-deep.

So Jeff, is Cole definitely OLB all the way or could he be kept at what seems like his more natural position and provide depth at MLB?

Don't quote me exactly but I believe that Cole was measured over the summer at 6'1" 195, definitely seeing a RS coming his way.

I think getting his weight right is the key. He was at 222 when he committed then back down to under 200 during two-a-days. He's around 210 now.
