  • Fat Mexican hooker, you could have gone plenty of ways. You could have said you'd pass on RSJ because his dad is a scumbag. You could have said you'd pass on RSJ because of his questionable tweets. You could have said you'd pass on RSJ because you're still butthurt that he decommitted from Texas. You could have said you'd pass on RSJ because you don't think he cares as much about football as he does about basketball, and that it would hold him back in his football career.

    You didn't though. You actually said that you'd pass on RSJ because DGB was the top receiver last year, and he got busted for pot.

    Is that, or is that not, your rationale for passing on RSJ? If not, why even bring it up? It's irrelevant if it isn't your reasoning for passing on the kid.

    And technically, Robbie Rhodes is the top WR in the country, so he's the one that will be arrested for possession of marijuana his freshman year (using your rationale).

    RSJ as the top ATH in the country, by your rationale, will have 22 tackles, 1 TFL, .5 sacks, and 1 QB hurry for his 10-0 national title contending team from his DE spot, since that is what Arik Armstead (top ATH in 2012) has done so far.

  • You would have to ask someone who knows him better. My response that indicated potential character issues was to a poster that seemed to be closer to RSJ and the family.

    To me - from a recruiting standpoint. I would be concerned with his twitter coaching philosophy, the fact that he made a commitment and then failed to honor it, the history of $$$ and his uncle in recruiting, the state of Oregon.

    But at the end of the day - I just like Rhodes better for our team.

    Good kids don't call Texas commits and talk shit about Texas (can see how that would endear him to some on this thread). Good kids also don't ask for things other than a scholarship.
