He had mentioned a high school coach, a Georgetown assistant, and Payne. Ray was not one of the three.

But alot of people outside of Mississippi like the hire and think its the right type of hire that takes balls to make when the fans want a big name...

He has a reputation as a good and tireless recruiter but he comes without any head coaching experience, so it's a real gamble to take him for a Div. I post in a power conference. Maybe it will work out for them, maybe not.
