    Maybe he is 5'9". After watching some '11 RRS, Diggs was shorter than Broyles who might be 5'10". When Diggs gave up the 3rd and 25 pass to Jaz Reynolds, Reynolds was considerably bigger than Diggs. It was a mismatch.

    Metoyer vs Diggs will be a mismatch that Diaz will likely avoid. I see Vacarro drawing him but maybe Byndom some too.

    Did you re-read the paragraph? It wasn't coherent. I get your overall point, which I decipher as " Metoyer is going to be a beast or whatever and will crush our DBs because he's a Sooner and they're Horns." That's your point right?

    I don't think it's going to be as much of a mismatch as you think, the defense was out of place on that play and the 20 whatever yard TD pass was the same case. After the RRR it was a completely different team defensively and after playing OSU and WVU we'll be ready for speedy and tall WR's and RB's something we haven't had for quite a while.

    That's a joke. Hurst is better than Diggs and Byndom both. He's at least a 2nd rounder if not 1st. Tony Jefferson is a potential 1st rounder at safety. Javon Harris started last year and has plenty of experience.

    To say OUs secondary is no where near UTs is rediculous. Did you not see last year's game? We lost Fleming off that DB who might go 2nd round, you guys lost 4 year starter Gideon.

    Hurst, Jefferson, and Fleming all got picks in the game last year. I don't remember one from that "considerably better" UT DB.

    My point is that Metoyer adds a component to the game that gives us a weapon we didn't have last year. While Reynolds Also showed more than your DB could handle last year, Metoyer just gives us another guy who can also provide a mismatch opportunity against the Horns in '12.

    I will grant you that we were outclassed in last years game. Our Corners were really young going in and we had a slow safety. Very experienced but slow. We also did not help our defense by not sustaining any drives the first 8 tries. It kept our guys on the field way too long.

    Any one who is arguing that OU has a bad team is delusional. Just like anyone who thinks we are going to show up and mail in the results is delusional. Both teams will come in relatively evenly matched with OUs advantage being a very experienced QB who has been at it a long time. If we don't put him under duress, it will be a long afternoon. But I am counting on our DEs getting to him.

    Our offense will move it on the ground--200yds. We will complete some throws. OU will have some difficulties running against our front seven and will enclounter a better pass rush than they encountered last year. I think that is how this game plays out. Our rush offense against their rush defense and their pass offense against our pass rush.

    Some of the greatest Corners in NFL history were dimunitive guys. See Darrell Green. There are numerous NFL corners who are playing at 5' 8". Soooo the point is not mute but irrelevant. It is the players that are important. Speed is more deadly than size and of course speed and size is twice as deadly both for a DB and for a WO. Our DBs are fast enough and have great technique.
    While we are at it, I think you have a couple of our WOs to contend with as well. If you don't get to our guy like you did last year, you will also have some problems. The question then is whether your pass rush has improved from last year to this year? Our's has and so has our QB play.

    Demontre Hurst: 55 tackles, 3 TFL, 1 int, 12 PD, 1 FF

    I'm not seeing much disparity, so please enlighten me. Keep mind the only commonality between the three's resumes are from last year because It's the only year all 3 started at the same time, so adjust your approach accordingly.

    Of course there's not much of a method to prove who is better than the other. What I like about Hurst is that he has more experience than those two. In his career, he has been very good. He has never been a player that fans pointed to as a weakness whether generally speaking or in a specific game.

    Hurst could have entered the draft this year and would have tested really well. As far as quality CBs in the Stoops era, he is in the class of Woolfolk, Strait, and Fleming. I think he's better than Dom Franks who went in the 2nd round I think.

    I like Byndom. I could see his ability as a freshman and knew he'd be fine last year as a starter. I like Diggs too, but I think he will have to show more to be considered in the class of shorter NFL stars.

    Going into this season and getting to pick a CB first out of the 3 listed, I'd go with the SR.

    Good stuff, and you'd also find that Byndom and Diggs had those PBUs in less attempts, as Texas' offense was so inept that teams could run, while OU's offense was scoring rapidly so other teams had to throw to keep up.
