Marcus Johnson Redshirt?

I was reading K. Bohls article about the receivers tearing it up, and towards the end of the article, Bohls mentions that Marcus Johnson is a redshirt freshman this year. I was under the impression all 3 of our receivers played enough last year to prohibit them from earning a redshirt.

Yup all three saw some playing team, maybe he didn't play enough and falls under certain criteria to retain his redshirt ? I am not sure what the rules on that are.
Still think it was mistake to burn all three of them last year

He played and if you play you burn your shirt unless there is an injury, in which case you can apply for a medical redshirt (see Jordan Hicks).
