Mack Brown vs. Will Muschamp

  • Muschamp was asked yesterday how his offense had rushed for 100 yards by halftime against Florida State, the country's best rush defense:

    Below is how Mack would answer the question and then Will's actual answer:

    Mack: "Well, Florida State has a great rush defense and we knew that coming into the game. We've made some big runs here and there and will try to keep it up in the second half knowing we can always throw the ball if we need to. Give credit to our guys, give credit to Florida State. Give credit to the camera man he's shooting a great game"

    Muschamps actual answer: "We feel like we've played against better defenses this year" (aka- suck it Florida State, we are showing a national tv audience that you are an overrated pansy defense who can't stop us. We'ere going to run it down your throats and enjoy doing so)

    MACK- STOP GIVING CREDIT AND HANDING OUT PARTICIPATION RIBBONS. YOUR TEAM PLAYS SOFT BECAUSE THEY HEAR YOU TALKING SOFT.

    Yea.. this sums up the Texas' Program.. It puts a mental image on the entire program.. What a shame.. Mack should have retired after '10.. Muschamp would have had this place cleaned up and at the top!

    My favorite part was at the 14:05 mark he says, "At the University of Florida we're about winning championships". I can't remember Mack saying something similar in a long while. And even if someone could point an instance I do not hear the sincerity from Brown that you hear from Will.

  • Mack needs to go, but this entire thread is based around a made-up answer to a question Mack wasn't asked, so you can have a whole new thread to bash him in. I'm still trying this site out, and really like the content, but if I want to fit in with the majority of the board, I'm going to have to get a lot more hate for Mack.

    He was, and Florida needed to beat FSU for Muschamp to not be on the hot seat in spite of a 10 win season. this was his first win against a rival since he has been there. He still hasn't beaten Georgia. And they should have lost at home to both Mizzou and Louisiana Lafayette.

    Replace Georgia with OU and FSU with aggy and you have what we have seen at UT since Mack has been here.

    Meyer didn't exactly leave the cupboard empty. He took over a program in great shape. Hardly a rebuilding job.

    Ignore the bravado and watch his team play. Then hold him to Texas standards. You will be far less impressed.

    Just completely disagree.

    Meyer left talent there but there was no QB on campus and the team was in complete disarray.

    I don't think you're that far off base, but I can't agree that FSU was his first rivalry win. Florida has what, 4 big rivals? UGa, FSU, Tennessee, and LSU? The dude has whipped Tennessee and beaten LSU. He's .500 in two years against the 4 teams. No doubt he needs to beat UGa, but that isn't entirely what the job revolves around at UF.
