Mack Brown since 9/4/2010

  • 21-15 overall

    11-14 Big 12 record

    2-10 vs AP ranked opponents

3-10 vs Coaches Poll ranked opponents (OK State was ranked in the coaches poll this year)

    11-9 Home record

4-8 home record vs Big 12 opponents

    0-3 vs OU

    Outscored 146-58 by OU

At this point I am at a loss how anyone thinks Mack Brown is the right coach to lead this team moving forward. Some will claim "who can do better" or "remember Mackovic"?
My answer is a lot can do better than the above and that is very Mackovickian over a 3 year period.

If someone has a compelling argument as to why Mack will improve this team in 2013 and compete for a Big 12 title I am all ears.

Definitely looks like a $5 million coach....Anyone who thinks otherwise has too high expectations.

  • I keep checking this site hoping some inside info will be posted that Mack will be gone. I have a feeling it won't be for a couple more years

Since no one in a position of power will fire him I fully expect him to be back next year.

I do the exact same thing, only to get disappointed every time I see the same posts about how bad Mack Brown is. Someone needs to forward this thread to DeLost Dodds. Mack has totally lost control of this program. He should have left after 2010 and by now, we would definitely be in the national title picture, at 10-1 for sure! Easily in control of our own fate to win the conference. Instead, here we find ourselves a year after we found ourselves in the exact same spot. I don't care if the offense has improves, or not. The team as a whole, has not improved. They continue to be the exact same team from last year. They show sparks against mediocre teams and come timid and weak against, either more talented teams or better coached teams. The sad thing is, Texas is probably the most talented team in the conference and one of the most talented in the nation. Yet they somehow find a way to play down to the level of the other teams. Then they find a way to stay down and can't get back up. That falls solely on the head ball coach, Mack Brown. If a more competent coach was at the top, Texas would definitely be back! Unfortunately, it is not and won't be with Mack Brown as our head ball coach!

  • Don't forget his perfect record on senior night during that time, as well as the first loss in Austin to TCU since 1967.
