Looks like Colt will be getting some help

    I think Colt can be an above average qb, maybe like a Jeff Garcia kind of guy, but he does not have a rocket for an arm. They couldn't run or throw last year, their offense was horrible. What do you want the guy to say?

  • Colt will have to beat out Weeden first to be able to hand off to Richardson.

    Not a surprise. Pundits had Cleveland using their second first round pick on Weeden for the past few days.

    It's true - they couldn't run or throw last year. You need blockers to give you some semblance of time in order to throw & somebody has to catch those throws.

    forget for a moment that I think Colt as almost the second coming and i love the kid. I can't imagine taken Weeden at #22. If i was the Browns GM and had a shot at Luck or RG3, ok, yes, they are special talents and maybe i say "sorry " to Colt.
    but you have to give your qb some real offensive talent. Colt or Weeden, either, have to have guards and tackles that can block, a running back that can run (and block) and some receivers that can ,...... oh yea, actually receive. Get another QB and they have exactly the problem Colt has until the offensive side of the browns is less offensive.

    I agree 723....but they took f'ing Weeden ....

    Totally agree! Their O-line play was awful and no one really stepped up downfield to catch. Who's Weeden going to throw to? Unless the Browns snag a WR soon, he's going to have to outrun D's to keep plays alive.

    And fluck Mel Kiper. He said "The Browns can't run and the Browns can't throw." Suck one Mel. Colt has a frickin' rocket for an arm. What they need is an offensive line, a running game AND someone who can run a route and catch.

  • I watched a few Browns games (only because Colt is there) and their O-line as a whole is horrid. Colt was probably wishing he had that horrible 2009 Longhorn OL (relative to the competition they were better than the Browns). He may even have had a better wr corp in 2008 than what he had last year. The fact that it is arguable is pathetic considering neither wr was a 1st round draft pick.
