  • I'm hoping that he is as solid to us as Hall is this year & Ridgeway was last year but doesn't feel comfortable visiting while committed. The realistic side of me thinks he is gone. I believe that he had already visited LSU & I have no idea why anybody would want to visit the Ags. I'd bet his AAU coach is behind this.

If he "knows" anything, it's most likely because someone at the AA-S relayed Gerry Jeff or Bobby's comments to him.

Then his sources would be solid, correct? Look, I'm not claiming to be the president of the Bohls fan club (and, as long as we're keeping score, I've read his columns for more than 20 years) but his sources, regardless of who they might be, seem to be accurate more often than not.

Always a good sign when the high school coach has no idea what is going on.

"I can't say I'm real comfortable that this is going on," Sealy football coach Jimmie Mitchell said. "It was a little bit of a shock. We had a plan to visit a number of different schools back in March, but instead he decided to commit to Texas. Now, he's had a change of heart about seeing other places."

Yep. Something seems to be amiss here.

The LSU thread I quoted from is from April 20th. They have been recruiting him as a basketball player, and it seems to be working. If one of his relatives is sayIng 6 weeks ago that he likes LSU and isn't solid to Texas, then it seem a little less sinister, but even more worrisome.

I really think that when the Thunder have won and his AAU season is over, he'll focus on football and Raulerson and Swoopes will remind him of the chemistry and he'll be back shortly after we beat OU. But it's my opinion, we'll see

  • He's a seventeen year old kid who made a decision before he was actually ready to make it. At least he's been honest and open about dealing with it. Treat him as an undecided recruit and see how things play out.

  • On the driving range yesterday at my club, two former aggie players were discussing the decommit. They were under the impression it was because of the aggies. Who knows what they are syaing.

  • Ok, LSU fan here and you can delete this if you want. Texas took Torshiro Davis from us on signing day last year. The thing about this is that you have until February to try to change this kid's mind. The bigger issue here to me is that Texas and Alabama just do not lose recruits... Is this a shift in the universe? Is Mac losing ground? That is a much bigger issue than where this kid turns up.

This appears to be a power struggle between Mom and Dad. I think the basketball thing is a rouse as both LSU and Texas have ok'd him playing BBall.

No power shift in the space time continuum. It is just part of head to head recruiting that will happen with LSU engaged in Houston and East Texas and Texas highly engaged in northern LA. The streams are being crossed and there will be dust ups. It's disappointing that the decommit happened but the days of 11-12 wins seasons are coming back for Texas and these will occur again and again.

And lastly while you're at it, kick the Agroids ass. They think they're a player and they need to be shown the back door.

Did the aggys eventually get all the range balls picked up and the grass mowed and watered?

Speaking of a Mom and Dad power struggle, we lost the #1 recruit from Louisiana last year to the historically most penalized team in CFB history. The Gumps for T-Town aka Tuscalooser took Landon Collins on signing day from a year long pledge to us. Mom was not happy on the podium. I just hope tha some disgruntled ex-palyer like Gene jekls blows the lid off of what they are doing over there. Also, they have to come to Death Valley this year.

As far as A&M goes, I see a rude welcome in store for them. Our website is new but we are excited to be on the 24/7 network and plan to see our website grow.

You're funny for a short guy from East Texas who likes to shoot squirrels, eat BBQ and drink beer.

aggys think the entire world revolves around them.

You forget they are a cult. College Station IS the world. Everything outside those tall concrete walls is alien and vaguely threatening.
