  • It's not clear whether the 6-foot-6 guard will sign today. It doesn't look like he will sign today, but is still expected to decide and sign in the early period.

Texas remains in contact with the Austin family. As does UConn and Providence.

But you still don't see him coming here; correct? I am taking it that Texas doesn't feel he has them as their first pick either.

  • Dont be so sure on that Jordan91! Rumors are that people in his corner are saying that UT will be a great fit for him. Mother really liked Austin! I could be wrong but i feel good about this one. Makes sense!

    Not a great chance.

As I've said before, kid loved his visit to Texas/Austin. Mom really like the visit. People around him know it's a very good program with Todd Wright being key.

    Here is the flip side...

Brandon Austin originally committed to a school less than 200 miles from home in Penn State. He did that for a reason.

Now it's down to UConn (4 hours), Providence and Texas; which is 1,800 miles from home.

Texas has done a terrific job getting in late, Coach Lanier has done all he can do, but Texas is a very long ways away from Philly.

Upsets happen and the family does like everything about Texas, but the final hurdle is a very big one when it comes to putting pen to paper.

All that being said..... He's going Burnt Orange!

Planes...trains...cars. Do schools pay for the kids to go back home? They should!

It's ok we can over one that. Tristan Thompson can always spring for some air fare
