Do many other football schools have a football awards banquet?

This concept has never made sense to me - the players hate it, the awards are ridiculous if not condescending, it's run by a bunch of old farts for other old farts.

Meh...It's not too important when Case shows up wearing a long sleeved casual shirt, jeans and boots.

I am not normally a negative type person but it just looks to me as if the team doesn't care at all. Not all, mind you, because there were Sr's there in their tuxedo, but you'd think the players could at least put on a sport coat if nothing else.
