If the breaks go our way, it's 2004/2005 or 2008/2009 scenario, take your pick. I laugh at the fence-sitters. More jittery than a girl on her first date.
Pray tell me where the so-called questions are that everyone in the Longhorn orbit is not already aware of and dissected adinfinitum, how much more the staff. Who wants it more? You me or them? I don't envision the QB or OL getting worse. Or all four RBs being hobbled. Or the new LBs being a major liability. Other problems perhaps but not these ones.
I prefer instead to look at our version of the four horsemen; a tremendous D--maybe top five in the nation--that will be very difficult to score on; a D that is packing a really good secondary--an important asset in a pass happy conference; an experienced OL with a couple or three really good athletes. That's what we have and it is not a phantom assemblage of weapons. They are for real.
And it ain't sunshine for the sake of sunshine either. It's a good team.

9 and 4 at Texas sucks!

At least 10. The real question is the importance of three guys who will never be on the field. Coach Mack, Harsin and Manny will all be in deep if we don't have a good year. I love Mack, Manny could be the next HC and Harsin I'm not sure about. These men chose their field and must inspire a winning attitude in their players. Texas should never be a second tier football program, there is just too much talent in Texas and we can't allow more players to head off to Alabama etc. Our coaches are the key to this year IMHO. I think if they do their job the team will do their job and bring the wins home.
