What's great is that they think I am part of the reason that he is transferring, I was banned by the site administrator on the Tulsa Rivals site.
It's only going to get worse, they should have listened to the people that help send the kids from the Centex area up there.

"Speculation has linked Clarkson to Big 12 schools, including the University of Texas. Clarkson will have to sit out one season regardless of what school he transfers to next year. If he goes to a school that Tulsa has released him to, he can receive an athletic scholarship. If Clarkson attends a school that isn’t on Tulsa’s list, he must attend the school at his own cost."
Apparently Tulsa has given Clarkson permission to only talk to Colorado, TCU, and Vanderbilt. So things don't look so good for us if that means we can't give him a scholarship next year.

Well that sucks. I don't really get why he they couldn't include us. It's not like we ever play them.

Eric Bailey (who works for The Tulsa World) tweeted that "Clarkson's best friend - Andre Roberson - plays at Colorado. Former Tulsa assistant David Cason is on Vanderbilt's staff."
so i guess that is supposed to be the reasoning behind those schools and not Texas. Still doesn't make much sense for Tulsa to do that. Clarkson should be able to choose whatever school he wants as long as it doesn't hurt Tulsa. Hopefully we land Pollard

I wonder if there is some Big Ten groupthink to halt ISU from feasting on it--White, Allen, Babb, Lucious all transferred from Big Ten schools to ISU, and didn't Naz Long originally sign with a Big Ten school as well?.
NCAA mandates the player has to sit a year. That should be disincentive enough. Most conferences mandate a two year wait for an intra-conference transfer, and some prohibit intraconference transfer entirely, so the intra-conference transfer will almost never happen. The release rule should probably get thrown out as being overly punitive in what is maybe best described as a cutthroat business.

Kid's from Iowa, right? That could x-out ISU.
I would agree that there's a corporate way of thinking by Big Ten schools, but I imagine Ryan just doesn't want to have to play against him. Same with Marquette -- they play them every year, but it's also a rival against which they go head up for recruits.
I don't get the ACC restriction.

I don't understand. Why would his being from Iowa make Wisconsin want to refuse to release him to ISU? Fear that he might badmouth the Badgers to future prospects that are teeming northeast from Iowa to Madison?
