If he interviews he's gone.
If Mack has any balls left, if Jerry boards a plane to TN, his sewrvices are no longer wanted at UT.
This has drug on too long.

Gray should never be allowed at the Texas athletic complex if he leaves. He knew he'd get job offers, and chose to leave the NFL to come here.

This just comes off as bad taste on Jerry's part. Am I wrong?
I think that most of the people who are around football a lot will not view this as that big of a deal. Unfortunately, most people do not fall in that category, and these people are really where a player's legacy may lie. To the average Longhorn fan, I'm afraid that this will come off as a very bad move for Jerry. Not to mention the recruits who kept their commitment so they could be coached by the great Jerry Gray.
I know this is a tough decision for him. But, as has been evidenced on multiple boards, I really think his legacy will be tarnished if he leaves... however fair that may be.
One thing to consider is that there will not be an NFL season next year. I can't see the NFL owners just forking out cash to all the coaches if they aren't doing anything.
But I am in the camp that he should have to where a disguise to even attend another game at DKR if he leaves like this.
I'm cool with it. And would congratulate and wish him success.
How are the conspiracy theorists going to blame Stoops for Gray leaving? Do Stoops and Munchak have any connection?
