Jeremy Hills on playing TCU instead of A&M

I'll be very honest. On the A&M boards, there are hundreds of threads about JFF, the Heisman Trophy, the SEC, recruiting, Kingsbury, etc. Virtually no discussion of Texas or a game tomorrow night. I know you guys find that hard to believe, but A&M fans are caught up in a full blown mania over this team. Aggie football is very fun again. Hope you guys are enjoying your season as well! Good luck with TCU tomorrow.

No shit... it's been quite a long time since they've had any kind of mania in that turd bowl called CS! The ATM has been quite irrelevant since the mid 90's, so those peoples are starving for excitement... let's see if aggy can put together a multiple years of 10+ wins.

Some programs are just not made to handle success... I may be wrong, but then again, we have heard this a&m story before with a preseason top 10 start...... we will see.....

I just posted this on another thread, but will repost it here. What all aggies need to understand is that if Texas decided it wanted to go to the SEC tomorrow, but only on the condition that A&M was kicked out, the aggies would be playing in the Big East.

But you don't play in the SEC--we do.

And what's your point, anyway? Does your belief make A&M's place and success in the SEC any less real?

If it's all the same to you, we'll actually play in the SEC; you can continue bouncing hypothetical demands around.

This is akin to the "Johnny Manziel wanted to be a longhorn" chatter. Does that give solace? Will that make his Heisman sting less?

    You heard it before Sumlin.

This team's contributors are almost exclusively Sherman's guys--just as they were last year.

After seeing what Sumlin has done, is there any doubt A&M wouldn't have shit the bed last year? Is there any doubt the 2011 debacle was coaching-based?

Was it not Sherman that led you guys to a Cotton Bowl appearance in 2010 and a 9-4 finish? He had better players in 2011, but failed miserably. My point is that I feel it is a lot harder to win games in the Big 12, considering the high powered offenses and round robin schedule. In the Big 12, you have to score points to keep up. Not so much in the sec. If your don't bring your A game offensively, week in and week out, you will lose a game in the Big 12. If you do that in the Sec, you still have a shot of your defense bailing you out until you can get something going. Like I said, I have seen this before. It will be interesting to see what happens going forward. Maybe I am wrong, but I do not think I am this time as I was not the rest of them.

Sherman sure looked pretty crappy throwing all those interceptions on Thanksgiving last year.
