JUCO DT recruit

We've received some emails about a potential Juco DT that Texas is supposedly recruiting. Let's be clear. Texas is not recruiting a Juco DT.

This is probably a real stupid question, but I'm curious nonetheless; why doesn't Texas consider Juco players?

Texas recruiting a Juco? I wonder if Major will because we know Mack will not.

For a number of reasons, Mack thinks it's not the best route for his program.

I'd really like to be able to mind read Mack on this issue just to know the reasoning. I know you don't want to do it much, but in a rare occasion (like Tackle both offensive and defensive last season) if you can find one who checks out and can help your program it can be beneficial.

Just me, but I believe Mack wants a player for four years if he is going to spend time on him. We want system players, may be just me, but my opinion.

Not sure he is the best example. Auburn might be heading for probation because of him. Not to say there aren't more than a few JUCO's that would a) help b) fit in the "family" and c) have the grades to play.

They said it comes directly from the JUCO coach and that UT has been by twice (including requesting the transcript). Why not call the coach and ask?

They say the JUCO prospects coach says Texas has asked for a transcript and Texas has been by twice to the school. Bo Davis was there the first time, and the second he and Stacy Searels both went. Also that Texas is interested in getting him in for a visit. If they aren't interest why do all that?

Mack has signed JUCOs at Texas. The one I remember didn't work out so well. Seems to be an ironclad policy against JUCOs now.

Guys,
For those of you who follow the board closely, I mentioned last week that Bo Davis stopped by to see a Mississippi Juco.
It's not happening. Not sure what else to say.
