If your Sheldon this lights a fire under your ass knowing those are your shots for next season.
I have no doubt Julian will be in the gym as he is a fighter.
Sheldon needs to take that next step and this offseason is huge for him. This post was edited by Bandit18 on 3/21/2012 at 10:39 PM

Can I call dibs on all of the absurd apologist claims for next year as the team rolls to another gritty first round loss while playing a bunch of freshman and sophomores as Rick Barnes gets another raise? I would like to lay claim to:
"The program was surprised by the early exits of J'Covan Brown and Myck Kabongo."
"Anyone expecting more from this team doesn't understand college basketball. "
"Even though this team isn't going to compete for a conference title or make a run in the tournament, I really enjoy the way they come to play every night. "
"We've been to the tournament 14 straight times, what more do you want?"
"What, do you want to go back to having Bob Weltlich coach us, son?".
That probably covers most of it. This program is not sturdy right now and I don't think Rick Barnes is any more keyed in on fixing it than he is at planning an inbounds play with the game on the line.

Is Ridley a possible one and done? If not then if Myke leaves now then it's possible next years team will be full of players staying thru atleast there Jr season. (except maybe Ridley). It's hard to get optimistic. But if you think about a team 2 years from now with Lewis, Mcclelen, Holmes, Bond, Gibbs, as juniors Felix, Ibeh, hopefully Ridley, that white dude and that guy with the African name as sophomores plus whatever freshman and that's a solid experienced team. So we have a core intacted that has a chance to stick around a few years for once.

This has been par for the course for the last few years. Last year gutted this team with Hamilton, Thompson, and Joseph leaving, and now two more early departures.
Imagine if all 5 would have stayed, 2013 would be a grand year. But such is the life of college basketball, until Barnes can get players who contribute and stay for more than a year, e.g. Damion James, Gary Johnson, Texas will struggle to be elite.
