  • Im trying to be fair here but at times he really struggles with his objectivity.
    Now that fan base will eat him alive if they don't sense the aggie love.
    But you have to try to be an "objective homer" in that position.

    2) It's not like Tannehill ran pro-style offense.
    3) Ask him the results of Tannehill throwing between the hashes.
    4) Hamm's a goober, which makes him a perfect aggy.

    Hamm doesn't like me and is immature, so odds are he'll be baited into some silly response.

    I like Tannehill as a QB prospect, but taking him at 8th was dumb. And saying he's more ready than RG3 is dumber.

    Ryan Seacrest 2.0 needs to be careful throwing around the "system QB" label, because pretty soon that's all A&M will have.

    Even if "Johnny Football" Manziel wins the Heisman, he'll just be a "system QB" under Sumlin.

    Tannehill is the biggest reach in the draft yet, and its not even close. We'll get to see him help Sherman get fired for a second time, so actually this is quite amusing.

    I think most people would have laughed at that suggestion most of last year. But the reality is, Tannehill is talented and has been a full-time QB for two years.

    Is he as talented as RGIII? No.

    Can he be as good or at least a very good pro QB? Some people certainly think so, or he wouldn't have gone so high.

  • To be clear, I agree that Tannehill is talented and worthy of being drafted/groomed. If my team had spent a 3rd rounder on him, I'd have been happy.

    I'm just mocking a guy who is saying that Tannehill is more ready for the NFL right now than RG3. fail

    I agree with JKates here. This thread is not intended to denigrate Tannehill as a potential QB talent. It is intended to show that Hamm's aggy hyperbole has reached a new level of absurdity.

    Who'd have even thought that was possible?!?

    I read somewhere , and I agree with it,"Tannehill will get some NFL coach and GM fired before it's all over with."
    I do think that Tannehill is a good enough battler that he might stick as a back up possession receiver.
    Taking at #8 is pretty insane IMO.

    "numbers are skewed because of the number of dropped passes by A&M receivers. Something the analysts have brought up a lot."

    1) Did Baylor WRs catch 100% of the balls thrown to them?
    2) How many drops did aggy WRs have? Give me a number, Hamm for brains.
    3) Which analysts brought this up? When? How often? How seriously?

    Gruden talked about the dropped passes but he attributed that to poor placement by Ryan while in clutch situations. He then whent on to explain that he never win any big games at A&M. Kiper said the same thing.
