I know I will get slammed for this opinion.....

    but here goes.

I think Jeremy Hills is going to make a pro roster.

I was impressed with several players' athleticism, speed, and vision when they ran the ball. Jeremy was one of them.

  • I think Hills is probably better than Newton or Vondrell McGee, but I'd be pretty surprised if his senior season is as good as Chis O or Fozzy were. I woudn't cringe at seeing him in the wildcat (though I do suspect Gray will be that guy), and it's possible that Hillls could emerge as the best 3rd and long option, but I think his primary role will be providing depth and running out the clock in blowouts.

    Based on.......?

If you make a cogent argument for something you are not going to get slammed. But you need to spend more energy in your posting if you are going to write something like this.

LOL, this isn't rocket science. I think he is a very talented running back.

He has spent three years in Mack Brown's doghouse for fumbling the ball in practice and I think Jeremy has figured it out now. He is going to get some chances to show his stuff in the first three games.

After the year, I think he goes to a camp and surprises people with his work ethic and natural ability.

I would not say he is better athletically than Vondrell. But hope has time to shine. Seems to a dedicated Team player.

  • Hills had every chance to shine last season but showed he's not good enough of a RB to replace 2 true freshmen. He has proven if a play is blocked to get you 10 yds he will get you 6. He can't even be a producer on a team where he was the only healthy back, it's a virtual impossibility that he will flash enough to make an NFL roster where even college stars and producers often times don't make the cut.

Jeremy Hills is probably a quarter of a second faster than McGee in the 40.

Mcgee ran around a 4.6 at a Texas pro day after being out of football for a year. If I were to guess, I'd say hills is in that same ballpark.

It was a 4.65. Hills ran a 10.65 100 as a senior, and I seem to remember him being mentioned as one of the faster guys on the team. I'm betting he runs a sub 4.5 next spring.

  • He has no more chance at being drafted or making a pro roster than Texas has signing a kid out of La. that LSU covets.

Who knows what will happen, but I'd be shocked if he ran a 4.4 and change. If he does possess that kind of speed, he certainly didn't show it last season.
